Remember

I wrote this on the ten year anniversary. Seems appropriate to remember the seriousness of that day so many years ago now --appropriate for some seem to have forgotten what we pledged never to forget:
And the planes came tumbling down.

The day was surely drear as the desert wind yearned to blow. Covering the face of the moon, the red horses rode across the night as the hatching plans were set, their hatred to be be reaped: Firey apocolypse approached. Unleashing inner hounds of hell, rabid like dogs gone mad, they savaged in a drunken spree. Set free to gluttony, they readied themselves before purifying prayer, succombing to forbidden fruits of debachery before the ritual of shaving and cutting hair. Ten years ago, the day was surely drear as the foul desert wind did howl and grow.
